Jason Stackhouse Does LAX

If you don't know who this is, you're not watching enough television.  Or sadly, you're not watching True Blood.

Looking quite monochromatic, Ryan Kwanten who plays the delicious Jason Stackhouse on True Blood, arrives at LAX yesterday.

The thing about mens style is; it's difficult to detect if he's really thought about his outfit or just threw something on for a flight.  And which of the two is sexier? 

In this case, when you look this good, does it really matter?

The answer is: yes!

Imagine for a moment he showed up to LAX in a Christian Audigier hoody, baseball cap and Dockers. 

If this were the case, he certainly wouldn't be featured on this blog unless he was chosen for the 'DOA'.

At the launch of her new swimwear line for Next, Geri Halliwell showed up looking like a shiny orange.

Girl needs to step away from the tanning booth.  Clearly, she needs an intervention.



She has so much potential but she needs a stylist who doesn't hate her.

But what a Bod, huh?!

It's actually a good thing she's not singing anymore.  We really couldn't live through another 'It's Raining Men'.  Ouch!

Fashion Autopsy Hearts Paloma Faith not only because her music is fantastic but her style defies explanation--and validation.

Here she is, making an appearance at BBC radio, Friday, July 30th...wearing a Hershey's Kiss on her head!

Why does this work on her?  We don't know....this is just one of the many mysteries of Style. 

When you go it, you got it.

Trying to dissect her style would be almost as difficult as trying to dissect Lady Gaga's fondness for defacing Hermes Birken bags.

Sometimes, style doesn't have to answer tough questions.  Sometimes, it just is.

Alexis Carrington does the Royal Ascot

In the 80's, no other television show had the glitz and glamour (and catfights) that Dynasty had. 

Each week, without fail, my Mom and I would sit down to an hour's worth of couture, sex and outrageous behaviour--it was a dream.

Joan Collins played Alexis Carrington; a rich bitch with a platinum card, an endless supply of hot men and a soft-spot for her ex-husband, Blake. 

Blake was happily married to Krystle Carringtion (played by Linda Evans) who I think was his tenth wife, or something like that.
Anyway, those catfights I mentioned?  There were lot's but the best ones were between Alexis & Krystle--these bitches knew how to throw a punch or two.



It was magical.

Joan Collins, now 77, comes back into the spotlight here and there but not nearly enough.  I wish someone would give her a decent show--she plays the Evil Bitch role better than anyone.
Sigh.

Actually, even worse than bums; they look like American tourists.

I don't care if you just came from a workout--it is possible to look sporty and stylish...and clean.

I hope the Parisians threw stuff at them.

What is it about Electric Blue?
Each time I see someone in this particular shade of blue, I'm immediatealy attracted to their look, no matter what.

And on the Red Carpet?  Forget about it.  The contrast is divine.

Last night, the cast of True Blood dusted off their fangs to walk the Red Carpet in celebration of Season 3--starting June 13th!  (it's about bloody time)

The Professional

Let's dissect Natalie Portman's style, shall we?

She didn't always know how to dress. In fact, in this photo (dated 1994), she looks like Leonardo DiCaprio. Poor thing. She was new to Hollywood--it wasn't her fault.

As she became more well-known, her style moved to more 'Girl Next Door' which we all know is a nice word for 'mediocre'. And Natalie is far from mediocre. Thank God this phase didn't last long--she deserves better! She's deserves Couture!
Then, in 2005, something changed. She was filming V for Vendetta (which by the way is an incredible film) and decided to go all the way for her character: she shaved her head. And the result was magnificent!

You see, when you have a face like this, anything is possible. You can pull-off just about any look. She's stunning.
Bitch.

As her hair grew out, it only made her more stunning. Here she is, all-out casual at a New York Knicks game in 2006:

Currently, this gorgeous creature is only getting better with age. Honing her style as she breezes through Hollywood, making us all jealous in the process.

Here she is at the Cannes Film Festival (2008) wearing Givenchy Haute Couture:

This dress is perfect for her: fresh and lite but also very sophisticated. She looks less like a little girl playing dress-up and more like a lady.

Here she is in Rodarte for the Venice Film Festival that same year. I LOVED her in this dress even though Rodarte is not one of my favourites.
