DOA

You know, celebs really must check themselves thoroughly before walking a red carpet.  Hello!  Fabric (especially black) can be super-see-thru because of camera lights.

Angie Featherstone at the Macy's Glamorama 2011 ball on September 23rd

BOOBIES!!

Clearly, this woman hasn't learned this yet - she really should have Googled "barbra streisand oscar dress 1969" before she left the house.

DOA

Fake n' Bake

At the launch of her new swimwear line for Next, Geri Halliwell showed up looking like a shiny orange.

Girl needs to step away from the tanning booth.  Clearly, she needs an intervention.

She has so much potential but she needs a stylist who doesn't hate her.

But what a Bod, huh?!

It's actually a good thing she's not singing anymore.  We really couldn't live through another 'It's Raining Men'.  Ouch!

DOA

Just when we thought it was safe to check out the red carpet images of the Peoples Choice Awards, this happened:

Name:
Alyson Michalka

Claim to Fame:
Some former Disney star who, most likely, will turn into a raging slut in about 15 minutes

Designer:
No one will take responsibility

Now, we looked all over the web to find out who designed this thing and all we could come up with was a shout-out to poor old Jimmy Choo.  Those lace-up, pole-dancing things she's wearing on her feet are the work of Choo.  Ouch, Tamara Mellon, ouch.
So, we're thinking whoever or whatever it was that made this frock, is hiding deep underground somewhere, wildly sewing its next monstrosity for New Hollywood.
Wake us when it's over!!!

However, as bad as this dress is, there are worse things out there like bloggers who think she looks 'appropriate' but also 'classy and trashy', wtf?

“Alyson wore a funky chic black and white lace lined piece that managed to combine the seemingly polar opposite forms of classy and trashy. The result was a real sexy yet appropriate look for a respected and tabloid free performer.
You can’t forget the staple super high wrap heels!”

Actually, yes you can...and should.

It's alarming that this review came from a popular celebrity style blog.  We won't name names (or pick on the grammar) because we're nice but quite frankly, we're terrified.

The DOA

Please, don't EVER do this:

EVER!
(we're on our hands & knees, begging)

The DOA

Big Brother, season 11 -- United Kingdom

A cornucopia of bad taste.....

The rainbow dress was the winner of BB11.  Hopefully she'll buy some decent clothes with her money.  And perhaps some shoes.

The DOA

The cast of the Jersey Shore, leaving a tanning salon on August 5th, 2010

We really don't have anything to say--we'll let the horrendousness speak for itself.

The DOA

Ideally, you don't want to be wearing 'Tigers Frolicking in the Grass' on any part of your clothing.

Leave it to Jessica Simpson to make even Louis Vuitton look cheap.

The DOA

Jessica Mauboy (contestant on Australia's version of American Idol) arrives at the BlackBerry Pearl Party at Carriageworks in Sydney, Australia on,  June 17, 2010.

Where do we start?
First of all, she looks like Dana from Barbie & The Rockers--and not in a good way.

Second of all, what the hell do you do at a Blackberry party?  Text eachother?

The weekly DOA

There are no words for this one.....

Do you even care who this is?
Probably not but endulge us, please.

The name:  Shauna Sands
The Place: My Studio nightclub in Hollywood, June 3, 2010
Profession: Not a stylist

The Weekly DOA

There was no shortage of fashion tragedies at the Patricia Field's 'Swimsational Soiree' for Sex & The City 2 on May 25, 2010.

However, Designer Stella Zotis (a former Project Runway contestant), takes the cake.
She showed up to the event in what looks to be a couple of pieces of outdoor living fabric, held together with everything but good taste.
And don't even get me started on the dead thing on her shoulder.

The Weekly DOA

The big question here is; who is she and what has she done for us lately?

Oh, Elizabeth Banks. You’re about as exciting as unbuttered toast which is why you’re always trying too hard.
At the Cannes film festival on May, 19th (Poetry Premiere) Ms. Banks showed up in this flowing disaster of a gown by Georges Chakra.  Some gowns should never leave the runway.

This is a harsh reminder that her fashion sense is lost in Over-The-Top-Land.

The Weekly DOA

The 2010 Met Costume Gala Red Carpet (May 2) was witness to some serious fashion crimes.
However, none was more serious than this shit:

Blake Lively in a Marchesa catasrophe

Either this woman loves her body so much she has to show every part of it or her stylist is a pervert.  Either way, she's dressed all wrong most of the time.  The last thing she should be doing is trying a Marchesa.  Only experts can pull off the OTT that is Marchesa.
 She needs a fashion intervention--STAT.

And I bet you all thought Tina Fey & her very talked-about-jumpsuit would make the DOA this week.
Not a chance!

The Weekly DOA

Oh, Toni!  Please Unbreak My Heart!

Toni leaving Mr. Chow’s on April 25, 2010

I love Toni Braxton so much that whenever one of her songs come on the radio, I turn the volume up so high, my windows almost explode.

This is painful to look at, isn’t it?  I mean really, would you even wish this on your worst enemy?
Just when you think it’s bad enough, you see it from the side and you just wish for blindness.

Let’s hope she pulls it together soon as she’s in the midst of releasing a new album.

The Weekly DOA

It wasn't difficult to pick a celebrity fashion crime this week.

Amanda Seyfried showed up to the Mother and Child premiere on April 20th in a lovely Bodyamr dress.
Only problem is, her 'fashion-desperation-to-be-avant-garde' overcame her and she just looked like a girl who put her dress on backwards.

The Weekly DOA

Jessica Simpson was close to grabbing the Weekly DOA crown until we saw Katherine Heigl show up to a charity event like this:

I tweeted that her Stylist should be banished from fashion and someone asked why celebs agree to things like this.
The answer?
Most celebs are clueless about fashion even though their agents, PR people and movie producer’s want us to think they’re all fashionistas.
Well, they’re not.

There’s a big difference between being stylish and being well-styled.

The Weekly DOA

Every Friday, we like to recap the week by picking out the worst outift since the Bjork/Swan/Oscars monstrosity.
In other words; an outfit considered Dead On Arrival.

This week, the winner is......

Agyness Deyn

Strolling the streets of Manhattan on April 5th, Aggy looks like she's been styled by Levi Strauss & Benjamin Moore.
Is that shirt as bad as the Swan dress?  Not quite....but it's close.  Ugh.

We deserve better from our so-called fashion icons.
