Is there anything more ridiculous than Moschino?
Probably not.
But something about Moschino makes me feel 'at home'. Why?
Because everything they do resembles the 90's and all the tacky opulence that came along with the early part of that decade.
Love.
I need to dig out my old 90's Moschino bags & belts.

Spring Handbags...if money were no object
Buying handbags is just one of life's many pleasures. If I could bottle the feeling I get when I buy a new handbag, I would be able to sell it for big bucks. It's a high.
The Spring 2013 runways were full of bright, beautiful bags....that will cost you. Big time.
But a girl has to dream, non?

| The Bottega Venetta weave will always and forever be one of my favourites. This one is adorable - reminds me of Kermit the Frog! |
![]() |
| And then comes Prada...always perfection. This Raffia bag is fresh and fun and oh so retro. |
![]() |
| Looks like pastels are here to stay. This cute little crossbody from Valentino is perfect for a brunch date or a casual day running errands. |
![]() |
| Fendi had some funkalicious bags this season. This tote with the studded dice is quirky and chic. |
![]() |
| This clutch from Belstaff will go with everything this spring. Can also be worn as a shoulder bag. |

| That yellow is gorgeous, non? Most of us couldn't pull off head-to-toe yellow but we could certainly pull off a fresh pop of yellow via this clutch. |

Black Dress Spillage
What's more classic and sophisticated than the Little Black Dress?
We all have one or two or twenty in our closets. (if you don't, we're no longer friends)
It's hard to fuck up a black dress but I've seen it happen a few times.
Take for instance the amfAR event in Milan Italy today during Milan Fashion Week.
We have examples of how to do it and how not to do it.
Here we have (ridiculously) gorgeous yet a little trashy Nina Senicar in a low back/high-neck variation:
I guess after modeling glittery monokinis and other bad swimwear, girl needs to wash up a bit.
This variation in a black dress is probably the best, ever. Très sexy.
Then we have how not to wear a black dress, courtesy of Sharon Stone:
Pictured here with Roberto Cavalli (they share the same love of tacky blacky and cosmetic surgery) in what would be a fashion 'Do' if she weren't spilling out of it.
You see, that's the thing about the black dress; you don't need to show too much tit - you're already sexy enough just showing up in a black dress.
Poor thing. After 100 years in the red carpet business, this is still a mystery to her.
Her face (54 yrs old) is holding up well though, non? I've always loved her brows - they're very underrated.
I'm sure she's had a ton of 'work' but she's not too plasticy yet.
Yet.

Alcoholics, Workaholics,Egomaniacs and Housewives
We've waited long enough and one can only hope that the two-hour season premiere of Mad Men is chock full of Don Draper naughtiness, Peggy under-appreciators, perfect hair and nails....and Gin...lotsa Gin.
Now, I'm no psychic and I hate trying to predict anything but this is what I'm assuming will be happening this season:

Oscars 2012: The Good..The Not So Bad..The Ugly
Each and every year, we anticipate the Oscars Red Carpet because really, it is the most important Red Carpet of the year. It's always chock full of disasters. Me likey.
Last night (clearly, while the Fashion Gods were sleeping) Hollywood's take on fashion descended onto the Kodak Theater...and television screens across the world.
She's lucky no one cares.
Some blond thing dating George Overrated Clooney (that's his full name, btw)
Everyone on E! Red Carpet last night was saying; 'oh, she's his Oscar!'. Wanted to puke. Mostly all over this fucking hideous excuse for a dress.
Can't wait till she's dumped.
Dorith Mous (overpaid, undernourished Supermodel)
Viola Davis (love her, hate the dress)
Emma Stone (can take her or leave her..mostly leave her)
More proof that Young Hollywood knows shit all about fashion. She looks like she was dressed by her Mother.
Sandra Bullock (don't love her, don't love the dress)
That gold lame thing on that blond amazon thing was the first Marchesa Disaster to hit the Red Carpet. This one came along quite a while later. I was getting worried that there would only be one Marchesa Disaster this year. But, then Sandy showed up. Marchesa never disappoints.
Don't know who this is or who she's wearing and I can't be bothered to Google..sorry
If she lost the fringe, I think she would be on every 'Best Dressed' list. You never want your hair to compete with your dress.
Michelle Williams in LV
This one is growing on me...looks way better today for some reason.
Rooney Mara in Givenchy
She reminded me of a young Jennifer Connely last night.
She really should eat something, though.
Natalie Portman in Christian Dior
I guess she wanted to show that there are no hard feelings towards the house of Dior.
Not loving her in this but really, when you have a face like this, do you think she gives two shits about fashion?
Rose Byrne in Vivienne Westwood
But, she was sporting a Bob to die for last night! Loves me some good Bob.
Cameron Diaz in Gucci
Probably the worst actress of her generation but this dress makes up for that...a bit.
She tends to be good at accessorizing though and last night was no exception; she kept it simple and elegant.
Jessica Chastain in McQueen
I like her even more now for trying to pull off a McQueen this early on in her Red Carpet career.
But really, how much longer will we be caring about her? She's about as exciting as unbuttered toast.
Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford
Berenice Bejo in Elie Saab
Hated the braids, though.
Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab
When someone steps onto the Red Carpet and all you can say is 'oh my God' that's a pretty good sign that she knows her shit. Milla's no fool. She knows that Elie Saab rarely disappoints.
Final Note:
If you can find a picture of Angelina Jolie from last night that DID NOT include her right leg, I'll give you a million bucks.

The Ugly

| Judy Greer in something that only can be described as useless pieces of fabric sewn together to create a useless dress. |
Some blond thing dating George Overrated Clooney (that's his full name, btw)

| Wouldn't be a Red Carpet without a Marchesa Disaster. They're so consistently bad, aren't they? |
Everyone on E! Red Carpet last night was saying; 'oh, she's his Oscar!'. Wanted to puke. Mostly all over this fucking hideous excuse for a dress.
Can't wait till she's dumped.
Dorith Mous (overpaid, undernourished Supermodel)
![]() | |
| Dorith Mous should know better. But the bigger question here is; 'Who invited this?' |
Viola Davis (love her, hate the dress)
Emma Stone (can take her or leave her..mostly leave her)
| The dress was bad enough but throw in that pink makeup and you got yourself a whole lotta Ugly. |
Sandra Bullock (don't love her, don't love the dress)
![]() |
| Marchesa saved the worst for last. Sandy B in this frock is painful to look at. |
The Not So Bad
Don't know who this is or who she's wearing and I can't be bothered to Google..sorry
![]() | ||
| I really want to hate this dress but I can't. |
Michelle Williams in LV
![]() | ||||
| Great choice for her. Personally, I wouldn't be caught dead in it but it suits her. |
Rooney Mara in Givenchy
![]() | |
| She certainly looked better going than coming but I don't hate it. |
She really should eat something, though.
Natalie Portman in Christian Dior
![]() |
| Interesting designer choice given what happened last year with Galliano going insane. |
Not loving her in this but really, when you have a face like this, do you think she gives two shits about fashion?

| #GORGEOUSNESS |
Rose Byrne in Vivienne Westwood
![]() | ||
| I just love her so much, had to blog about her. But, this look is neither here, nor there. |
The Good
![]() |
| UGGIE! From The Artist. What a cutie. |
Cameron Diaz in Gucci
![]() |
| Sometimes, when she get's it right, it's magic. Most times though, it's tragic. |
She tends to be good at accessorizing though and last night was no exception; she kept it simple and elegant.
Jessica Chastain in McQueen
![]() |
| This dress was too much for her but really, it is a glorious piece of craftsmanship. |
But really, how much longer will we be caring about her? She's about as exciting as unbuttered toast.
Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford

| Perfection |
Berenice Bejo in Elie Saab

| Gorgeous colour, gorgeous face. Classic and elegant..and French. |
Hated the braids, though.

| Probably my fave last night. |

DOA
You know, celebs really must check themselves thoroughly before walking a red carpet. Hello! Fabric (especially black) can be super-see-thru because of camera lights.
Angie Featherstone at the Macy's Glamorama 2011 ball on September 23rd
Clearly, this woman hasn't learned this yet - she really should have Googled "barbra streisand oscar dress 1969" before she left the house.

Kleptomaniacs at NYFW
Have almost become 'out of style' but fear not...the fashion snark is back, thanks to Lindsay Lohan.
Looking more orange than ever, she's graced us with her presence at New York Fashion Week
Showing up topless to a Cynthia Rowley show, complete with the 'Cat-eye' and porn star lips
One can only imagine the endless thoughts of Kleptomania dancing around in her head....
Better find your escape route first, Lindsay.

The Mother of All Mothers
Joan Crawford
With clothes like that, it's no wonder she detested wire hangers....who could blame her?
We hear ya, Joanie!
Happy Mother's Day!
