The Weekly DOA

There was no shortage of fashion tragedies at the Patricia Field's 'Swimsational Soiree' for Sex & The City 2 on May 25, 2010.

However, Designer Stella Zotis (a former Project Runway contestant), takes the cake.
She showed up to the event in what looks to be a couple of pieces of outdoor living fabric, held together with everything but good taste.
And don't even get me started on the dead thing on her shoulder.

The name is Agnès Boulard…but that’s Mademoiselle Agnès to you

If there’s one fashionista I dream of coming into contact with, it’s Mademoiselle Agnès.
Each time I go to Paris, I comb the streets looking for her. Hoping and praying that one day, the fashion Gods will be kind enough to allow me to cross her path.

Agnès Boulard is a French producer, actress, writer (for Vogue Paris from 2001-2005) and she’s chic & cheeky.
She famously showed up for a Lanvin show, dressed as Anna Wintour.

Are you in love with her yet?

Her style is admirable because it’s so eclectic and unique but still has this French touch to it.

Style Papers spread, May 2010 edition

She’s just all kinds of French Deliciousness....

SATC 2 Red Carpet Premiere: NYC, May 24, 2010

Well, it's finally here: SATC 2 will be released this Friday.
Tonight, in NYC, the world premiere of the film is kicking off with a Red Carpet event at Radio City Music Hall.

from left to right: Cynthia Nixon, SJP, Kim Catrall, Kristen Davis

People on the net are already hating on Kim Catrall's Naeen Khan gown.  Whatev.  She looks gorgeous--the gown has an incredible fit.

The ever-gorgeous Cynthia Nixon was wearing a scrumptious black gown by Carolina Herrera.

Kristen Davis chose a rather boring and predictable bubble gum pink dress by Jean Dessess

ho-hum

SJP's Valentino gown was a hit tonight. Great color, great cut, great movement. She worked it.  (ugh. That was difficult.  Not used to dishing out compliments on SJP)

Hard to believe this beautiful gown came out of that disastrous Valentino S/S 2010 line.
We blogged about it here:
Valentino Spring 2010 Couture

Now, for some comic-relief.
Ladies & Gentlemen, Liza Minnelli!

We forgive you, Liza.  <3

The Nice Airport: Take 1

With the Cannes Film Fest wrapping up today, the Nice Airport will be swarming with celebs.
Well, at least those celebs who can't afford a private jet.

Left to right: Kiki Dunst, Penelope Cruz, Karolina Kurkova and Kate Beckinsale at Nice Airport, May 23, 2010

Nothing says 'Fashionista' like a well-dressed traveler.
We're giving this one to Penelope because not only does she look hot, she gets to travel with Javier Bardem.

The Weekly DOA

The big question here is; who is she and what has she done for us lately?

Oh, Elizabeth Banks. You’re about as exciting as unbuttered toast which is why you’re always trying too hard.
At the Cannes film festival on May, 19th (Poetry Premiere) Ms. Banks showed up in this flowing disaster of a gown by Georges Chakra.  Some gowns should never leave the runway.

This is a harsh reminder that her fashion sense is lost in Over-The-Top-Land.

Cannes! May 19, 2010

Karolina Kurkova is a giant!
Well, at least compared to tiny Natalie Imbruglia.

At the "Art of Elysium Paradis Dinner and Party" during the Cannes Film Festival yesterday:

“How’s the weather up there?”

Check out Karolina's killer heels

I love it when model's give an 'ugly face' for the camera

The Glorious Fashion Illustrations of René Gruau

I recently came across a 2006 calendar I had of René Gruau's fashion illustrations and just had to share.
How amazing was he?

Oh, CL! You're so fab...

Ahhh, Cannes, France.
Sun, sand, culture, great films, great food and now the great Christian Louboutin.

Christian Louboutin presents 'Le Carrosse Noir And The Loubi's Angels' at Palm Beach Casino during the 63rd Annual Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2010 in Cannes, France.

Kylie Minogue wore these boots during her world tour. She looked gorgeous in them but didn’t move around the stage very much!

The Man

The Shoes

Thanks to Louboutin, the lace bootie has become a classic.  Thank God.

These ones make me happy to be a girl....

Speechless

And if you're like me and want to know what the Palm Beach Casino in Cannes looks like, here goes:

I should Photoshop myself in the pool.
